Garry Woodard on Iraq

In my February 2009 post Rushing willingly into Iraq I provided a link to my colleague Garry Woodard’s 2007 essay on Iraq (Iraq: We Now Know), which I described as, and which remains, a remarkable example of what can be achieved by patient sifting through disparate open sources.

Of course we know quite a lot more now than we did in 2007, and I understand that Garry is about to commence work on an update. I will post a link to that as soon as it is available.

In the meantime, the current version is well worth reading.
