Daniel Flitton on Iran

There is a very balanced op-ed piece by diplomatic editor Daniel Flitton in The Age, 16 June 2009, which sets out the reasons why we should not get too carried away bemoaning Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s claimed victory in last week’s Iranian election, and why a hard-liner might be in a stronger position to engage the West without being accused of selling out the revolution. Well worth a read.
